Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operations of PAP Resupply Department, consisting of referrals, insurance verification and supply orders.
- Ensures that the activities of the Resupply operations are conducted in a manner that is consistent with overall department protocol, and in compliance with Federal, State, and payer regulations, guidelines, and requirements.
- Where appropriate, will develop policies and procedures to support intercompany and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate and manage operations with a focus on implementing process changes to maximize patient care, referral satisfaction and cash generation
- Conducts routine staff meetings to review performance, monitor and improve department initiatives
- Expected to determine the optimal staffing structure and process flow in order to maximize the performance of the team
- Develops and refines training materials to ensure that team members are improving and that new team members receive adequate orientation and training
- Manages relationships with resupply software and operations vendors (Ex. resupply software/call center/fulfillment center)
- Stays current on insurance requirements, reimbursement and legislative issues that may affect the performance of the team
- Actively participates in the growth strategy of the business
- Builds customer clientele by making customer satisfaction a top priority
- Effectively directs and implements priorities to achieve sales and service goals
- Responsible and accountable for compliance with Joint Commission standards and requirements
- Report-generating skills are essential for this position to provide progress reports on a regular basis
- Will work collaboratively with other departments, including Viemed Intake, Billing, Collections, Respiratory Therapists and Compliance departments
- Maintains a working knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPAA and all health regulations
- Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

- 1-3 years Supervisory experience preferred
- 1-3 years DME experience preferred

- This position will require the employee to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) for duties related to document and report preparation.
